Library

I do almost all my reading on Kindle, so I don't have a bookshelf to gaze fondly upon. So instead, this page is my virtual bookshelf.

I list only books I have actually finished, or am currently reading. They are in reverse chronological order, with the most recently completed at the top.

The Knowledge

Lewis Dartnell

Completed: Feb

A really well-researched and thorough investigation into what would be involved in re-creating society and technology more-or-less from scratch. I learned a lot about agriculture and chemistry and power generation and lots more. Or more accurately, I learned that there is a lot to know about these things, and that I have already forgotten almost all of it since finishing the book. In fact, it would probably be smart to buy a hard-copy of this book in case society ever does collapse.

The Blind Assassin

Margaret Atwood

Completed: Jan

I was an Atwood fan already, but this was easily her best, as far as I'm concerned. Absolutely brilliant.
